As previously reported on this site there have been several thefts of high value bicycles in Stratford District over recent weekends. Warwickshire Police have managed to recover some, but not all, of the cycles.
It is believed that a group of white, Eastern European males, aged between 18 and 25 years, dressed in hoodies and caps are responsible. The group are using a white van to take the cycles away.
Please keep a watchful eye open if you are using a bicycle. Please ensure that you lock and secure the cycle out of sight when leaving it unattended and make sure that you removed tell tale signs such as cycle racks from vehicles immediately after use.
FREE Bicycle Theft Prevention packs are available for collection from the front desk of Stratford Police Station so please call in for yours.

There has also been a recent increase in thefts from motor vehicles in Stratford. Upon investigation, it is clear that the majority of motorists cannot remember whether they locked their vehicles or not.
It would appear that gangs of youths are going around trying car door handles and it your vehicle is not locked it is easy pickings!
