As you will see from the banner outside Budgens they are putting on a Balloon Race to launch their new brand ‘Supervalue’ The Race is on Sunday May 27th at 11.00 and is open to everyone. Get your balloon from Budgens, fill in your details and the balloon that travels the farthest and is sent back to the shop wins a prize. Budgens will also give a small prize to the person who sends the postcard back. Taster sessions of the new brand will also be available.

A Great Time Was Had At The Easter Egg Hunt

What an ‘eggciting’ time we all had on Easter Sunday morning, thanks to Yarnold’s Budgens. At 11 o clock not only were we treated to a special meeting with Budgens Bear, a friendly and cuddly addition to our community, but we were also given a challenge to hunt for green treasure along the footpath opposite the store. In return for finding the green treasure we were very generously rewarded with not one, not two, but three yummy Easter Eggs! Over 80 children with their families turned up for the treasure hunt, brilliantly led by lovely Kally. A big thank you to Dominic, Charlotte, Kally and of course Budgen’s Bear for all the fun and for the generous treasure too! What to do about Dog Fouling

I have been in touch with Environmental Health at the District Council concerning the problem with irresponsible dog owners leaving their dogs’ droppings outside residents’ front doors.

Signs will be erected to remind dog owners that it is an offence to leave droppings. If anyone is able to provide the Council with a Witness Statement, they will be prepared to act upon this and bring the offenders to task. Please feel free to contact me if you prefer. Cllr. Trinity Mead Clean Up

The Sunday before last you may have seen an odd sight on Trinity Mead – as intrepid members of the Trinity Mead residents association, joined by Town Councillor Victoria Alcock and Councillor Kate Rolfe, donned gloves and hi-viz jackets for a couple of hours of litter picking. Armed with plastic bin-bags, and picker sticks, they filled a grand total of 6 bags with sweet wrappers, drink cans, bottles, cigarette butts and even neatly-bagged dog mess. Oh, and is anyone missing any articles of clothing??

Lots of people stopped to chat, and several promises to help next time were made. One kind resident gave them all ice creams over his garden fence which were very gratefully received!

Look out for the next ‘Pick-up’ and come and join us.

On a more serious note, Trinity Mead is a lovely development and we can all contribute to keeping it that way – by taking our litter home, and instil in our children [...continue reading by clicking on title]

Do you run your business from home, or work from home? Then join us for our first friendly meeting of home based business people who will meet once a month over a short pub lunch to share ideas and network. The format will be welcoming and informal. Suggestions for future events welcome.

First Lunch 12:30-1:30pm on Tuesday, 17 April at The Bear Pub Bar, Swans Nest Hotel, Bridgefoot, Banbury Road.

Easter Egg Hunt

With Easter coming up we are delighted to announce that Budgens has organised an Easter Egg Hunt for youngsters on Easter Sunday, 8th April, at 11am.

There will be 4 categories…

3/5 year olds

6/8 year olds

9/11 year olds

12 and over

The younger ones will set off first, followed by the other groups in age order with a small time gap in between. The meeting point is on the green (triangular green) opposite Budgens of Trinity Mead. The children will then be given instructions on what to look for, they will then have to take what they have found to the shop to exchange for eggs.

Dog Mess

Not a very nice title, but how else do we say it!! We have been asked by PCSO Martin Mansell to request politely that dog owners please clean up after their dogs!

Trinity Mead is a lovely place to live so please don’t let us have it spoilt by dog mess on the development, whether it is the pavements or grass areas. It is a health hazard for small children and jolly unpleasant for everyone else if they get it on their shoes and take it into their house or cars.
