Pink Ribbon Collection on Trinity Mead

One of our Residents has brought to our attention that envelopes bearing the Pink Ribbon, usually denoting breast cancer charities, are regularly posted through letter boxes on the development.

However, there is some concern as to the authenticity of the organisation behind these collections. They purport to be raising money for breast screening in Lithuania – in itself, all fine and good. The question is the legitimacy of the operation. When you read the back of the envelope there is no mention of a charity, and the money raised from the sale of donations ends up in an organization registered in Lithuania.

You can click on the following two links to see a scan of each side of the envelope being distributed.

Envelope side one

Envelope side two

If you would like to do your own research do check out these links below and make up your own mind.  They will give you more information on compliance for companies/charities wanting to make collections as well as the views of councils in other areas.

New Download Page

A download page has been added!!

If you hover your mouse over the About Us tab up above you will see a Download Tab.  This is where you will be able to access documents that you can save to your computer or print off.

From time to time we may want to make available Posters, Flyers and so forth to advertise events or “How To” Instructions for joining Clubs, making things etc – so please keep an eye on the Download page.

The first download to be made available is a sheet of Website Calling Cards – in other words if you would like to help spread the word  about the Association or this Website – please download a sheet, cut them up into cards and hand out to everyone!!

If you can think of things that might be useful for other Residents to have access to then please go to “Contact Us” and submit your ideas for consideration or Leave a Comment below!
Thanks

Email Opt-in List

Dear Residents,

I have just been checking the submissions to the new email list and would like to thank those of you who have filled in your name and email on the website Submit Box.

However, some of you have not responded to the automatic response from the autoresponder yet – this is what is known as a double opt-in process.  If you have signed up and not confirmed your registration please go to your email inbox and look for an email  asking you to confirm that it was really you that submitted your name – you just need to confirm, as it requests, then you will be able to receive email messages.  All a bit of a bind, I know, but once done it is done.

Thank you so much

Lost and Found

Another new page for our Website!

Please check out the Lost and Found page on the tabs above this post to see how to make use of the new addition.  Although it came about as a result of finding a lost looking white cat, there is no reason why it cannot be used for lost and found items.

If you find/lose a pet/item go to the Contact Us Tab above and submit an email with the details.  I will then make a post like this about it.

To check lost and found – go to the right hand column and click on the Lost and Found category – scroll through the posts to see if you can find what you are looking for – it should have contact details on it, if not, submit another email and we will put you in touch with the party.

Happy Hunting!

Building this Community Website

Hi Everybody,

Welcome to the first post for this website built for the benefit of Residents of Trinity Mead.

The idea is to have a user-friendly website that is accessible to those who live on the development so that they can find groups who share common interests, make new friends, organise and join in events and share ideas.

It is very much an organic process so if there are items you would like to see, or new clubs mentioned on the site then please go to the Contact Us tab and send an email with your request.

You may also post your comments underneath these blogs – please make them as constructive as possible.

This website, and the Association itself, will only ever be as good as the content that you, the users, help to provide – so please – get creative and start thinking about what you would like.
