 See what I made!
Divali night went well.
We had a dry and mild evening.
Even though we had two
gazebos we didn’t need any
shelter from wind or rain.
More candidates working at Lou’s stall
-
Lou’s stall was extremely popular, with kids making swishy sparklers
and glowing lanterns.
 Double Concentration
and there was food to be enjoyed by all -
thanks to Yarnold’s Budgens
for their generousity.

And finally….. spot your friendly glow in the dark PCSO !!

Permalink A Right Royal T Party
The bunting came out in full force on the sunny morning of Sunday June 10th on the Trinity Mead Development, not to mention the Tea-cups and tressle tables, to adorn the many cakes that would surely follow! Then came the people! Not hoards, but a collection of families and couples from all over the Trinity Mead Development, with them were the picnic rugs, plates of homemade goodies and of course the finest china that Stratford has to offer!
To celebrate in style, Yarnold’s Budgens even pledged a free glass of Pimms to each and every adult that joined in the celebrations. Also organised were many informal races and games for the children, best dressed adults and a prize for every child that brought along a teddy bear!
Finally, and new to the community this year was the announcement of the winning front gardens on the development, know as Blooming Trinity Mead! The winner and two runners up are to be awarded a plaque to proudly display in their gardens, kindly donated by Yarnold’s Budgens.
The reason to celebrate, well there are lots. Amongst them were: The Queen’s Jubilee, the start of Summer, The annual Big Lunch event, but most of all because we are a lovely development, in a beautiful part of the country. We want to be a special community with neighbours that care about and look out for each other and a place where our children can play safely amongst their friends. So please keep up to date with future events and clubs by looking at our community website www.trinitymead.com.

We have rescheduled the planned Jubilee get-together on Wordsworth Green, our usual venue, as it was felt most people had other arrangements.
However, it would not be right to allow such a special event to pass without celebrating in some way with our friends and neighbours. So join us for:
‘A Right Royal T Party’

Wordsworth Green

Dear Neighbours,
We have so many beautiful gardens around the development, what better a way to celebrate them, than to host our very own gardening competition?
Judges will be exploring the front gardens of the development during the week of May 28th to select 12 finalists. There are no specifications or categories – we are just looking for gardens that appeal, are neat, interesting, well looked after or quirky in some way! The twelve finalists will have a note posted through their door, inviting them to Trinity Mead’s Right Royal T Party on Wordsworth Green, Sunday June 10th 2pm – 4pm.
The winners will be selected and announced by our horticultural guest! Small prizes for 3 runners up and a plaque to display with pride for the winner. Thanks to our lovely local store Yarnold’s Budgens who are supporting this event.
So dig up the weeds and plant some seeds! Good luck to everyone. More posts will follow on www.trinitymead.com

What an ‘eggciting’ time we all had on Easter Sunday morning, thanks to Yarnold’s Budgens. At 11 o clock not only were we treated to a special meeting with Budgens Bear, a friendly and cuddly addition to our community, but we were also given a challenge to hunt for green treasure along the footpath opposite the store.
In return for finding the green treasure we were very generously rewarded with not one, not two, but three yummy Easter Eggs! Over 80 children with their families turned up for the treasure hunt, brilliantly led by lovely Kally.
A big thank you to Dominic, Charlotte, Kally and of course Budgen’s Bear for all the fun and for the generous treasure too! Thank you also to everyone that turned out to support this lovely community event!
Watch out for future events, kindly supported by Yarnolds Budgens!

The Sunday before last you may have seen an odd sight on Trinity Mead – as intrepid members of the Trinity Mead residents association, joined by Town Councillor Victoria Alcock and Councillor Kate Rolfe, donned gloves and hi-viz jackets for a couple of hours of litter picking. Armed with plastic bin-bags, and picker sticks, they filled a grand total of 6 bags with sweet wrappers, drink cans, bottles, cigarette butts and even neatly-bagged dog mess. Oh, and is anyone missing any articles of clothing??
Lots of people stopped to chat, and several promises to help next time were made. One kind resident gave them all ice creams over his garden fence which were very gratefully received!
Look out for the next ‘Pick-up’ and come and join us.
On a more serious note, Trinity Mead is a lovely development and we can all contribute to keeping it that way – by taking our litter home, and instil in our children that littering is not acceptable, and even picking up the odd bit of litter when we see it. Particularly, horrible is the dog mess – not only that left on the ground, but also that left in bag in hedges and hanging trees. How bizarre to pick it up and leave it hanging there! Please, please, dog owners do pick up the mess and dispose of it at home or in the bins provided..Cigarette butts are also litter – and these lie in abundance, around the bus stops and in areas where they are routinely onto the same patch of grass. These do not break down into the soil, so please take them home or put them in a bin.

With Easter coming up we are delighted to announce that Budgens has organised an Easter Egg Hunt for youngsters on Easter Sunday, 8th April, at 11am.
There will be 4 categories…
3/5 year olds
6/8 year olds
9/11 year olds
12 and over
The younger ones will set off first, followed by the other groups in age order with a small time gap in between. The meeting point is on the green (triangular green) opposite Budgens of Trinity Mead. The children will then be given instructions on what to look for, they will then have to take what they have found to the shop to exchange for eggs.

Just to remind you that Trinity Mead Residents’ Association Meeting is this Monday night, 7 November at 7.30pm in Bridgetown School.
Please do come – we keep our meetings short and to the point so you can get up to date on Trinity Mead and forthcoming events without writing off the whole evening!
Agenda items include:
• Voting in new committee – would you like to be a member?
• Road Adoption update
• Neighbourhood Watch Alerts
• Waitrose Development update
• Clubs Report
• Planning for Christmas Carols on the Green
• Event Planning for 2012
• and more…..
All that in under 90 minutes!
Kind regards
Trinity Mead Residents’ Association Committee
