Here’s some good news reported by our PCSO Martin Mansell
“Last Saturday night a resident on Eton Road, spotted a White Van acting suspiciously outside of the house. This was at 11.30hrs, There were three males in the van, two got out and walked up to Avon Crescent. The resident called the Police straight away. The two males who walked up Avon Crescent returned to the Van on bikes. These were loaded in to the back of the Van. The Police arrived and blocked the Van in. Two males were arrested at the scene, one ran off, but was also arrested. This is now an on-going investigation.
To all residents, if you do see anything suspicious, please call it in.”
It really does make a difference if we keep alert and inform the Police of anything suspicious.

Please be on your guard and lock away your bicycles. People on Trinity Mead and Banbury Road have had bikes stolen on Monday night either from in front of their houses or by the thieves gaining access to garages. On a previous evening someone came across some supposedly abandoned bikes which were presumed to have been dumped by the thieves ready for a lorry to pick them up later. So if you see some bikes where they shouldn’t be please let the Police know, as they may be stolen and awaiting collection by the thieves.
Please also do not leave any valuables in your cars as one resident’s car was broken into on Monday night and personal goods were removed.
If you have any information that would be of use to the police please do call PCSO Martin Mansell on 01789 414111 voice 16112 and leave a voicemail or email him on Martin.Mansell@warwickshire.pnn.police.uk – they need any information on these thefts that we can give them to help catch the thieves.
We will again be holding our Christmas Carols on the Green this year, although the venue will now be Wordsworth Green rather than Chesterton.
Please put the date in your diary – Thursday, 15 December, 6 – 7.30pm – and come along and join us as we get into the festive mood. There will be mulled wine, hot chocolate, a raffle and, of course, Carols! Last year, despite the rain, about 120 people turned out and we had a great evening.
You will be able to download a copy of the carol sheet nearer the time, meanwhile this is just so you get the date in your diary – who knows, this year it may even be snowing!
